Virgin Atlantic has announced a daily service from London to Seoul – its first to the important manufacturing and technology centre of South Korea.
Although expected to be an important route for corporate traffic, the new service which starts on 29 March 2026 is expected to bring mainly leisure travellers attracted by the food culture and amazing shopping. Needless to say, the emerging worldwide popularity of South Korea’s pop culture, K-pop, is a perfect fit for Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin brand.
The airline also believes it will be a significant connecting point for other destinations in the region such as Japan and China. It will use Boeing 787-9 aircraft on the route with departures from Heathrow at 0945 and departures from Incheon at 0835. Flight time is usually around 12 hours.
