Virgin Atlantic has launched a new service to the Saudi capital Riyadh with daily flights from Heathrow’s Terminal 3.
It’s the airline’s first route to the Kingdom and it expects to capitalise on substantial growth prospects in both business and personal travel.
Riyadh is home to an important downtown business district, F1 circuit, theme park, shopping and entertainment complexes. It’s also an excellent base to explore this vast country and in partnership with Virgin’s SkyTeam partner Saudia, visitors can connect to the various UNESCO World Heritage sites of historical Jeddah plus the Red Sea resorts.
Virgin has created a ‘Riyadh core crew’ for the route who have undertaken specialist training in Saudi culture. Arabic coffee is served and halal meals are available throughout flights.
The route uses Airbus A330neo jets with summer schedule takeoffs from Heathrow at 2225 and the return takeoff at 1150.
